long-time Brigantine resident, TBS congregant and medical professional.  Dr. Harry Chaikin will discuss the issues surrounding health care directives and end-of-life care.  This presentation is a sensitive and complex topic that we all too often avoid or put off.  It will provide important information that is essential for your own peace of mind and that of your family.

More about Dr. Harry Chaikin:

Dr. Harry Chaikin, M.D., FACP is a retired internist and clinical geriatric medicine physician who practiced primary care medicine for over 38 years in Brigantine. He has held various leadership roles within the AtlantiCare Health System organization including president of the medical staff and member of AtlantiCare boards. With AtlantiCare he was a “champion” of the advance directive program. He has also served in leadership position with the Medical Society of New Jersey, the Atlantic County Medical Society, and the Bacharach Institute of Rehabilitation. He continues to serve as a medical director for LHC/AtlantiCare Hospice. In his new-found spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family including 6 grandchildren. His hobbies include bicycling, sailing, gardening, art, and reading.
