Temple Beth Shalom is thrilled to host John Lynskey  as  he explores how poetry has woven itself into the fabric of Jewish Culture and History.

Please join us, in-person and on-line (via Zoom) on Sunday, March 3rd 1:30-3:00 p.m.

This presentation will explore Jewish American poetry from 1945 to modern day, discussing the Jewish experience in poetic form and how these poets stand out as emblems of Jewish American culture.  The poetry explored will offer a variety of unique voices into the depth and uniqueness of the Jewish American experience in modern day.

More about John Lynskey:
John Lynskey works as Graduate Writing Support Specialist and adjunct instructor in First Year Writing at DeSales University.  Before his current position, he worked for many years as an adjunct professor of Writing, Rhetoric, and Composition at Drexel University, Penn State Abington, Community College of Philadelphia, and Rowan University, among others.  He received his Ph.D. from the University of Edinburgh, an MA in Rhetoric and Composition from Trinity College Dublin, and his BA in English from the Catholic university of America.  A South Jersey native, he now divides his tim between New Jersey and the Lehigh Valley.
