TBS Literary Society

- This event has passed.
February 7, 2022 @ 1:00 pm - 2:15 pm
The TBS Literary Society gathered at its annual Bring Your Own Book Meeting on Zoom (minus the Mimosas usually provided by Shirley and Sid.) From books discussed and other suggested, a list of proposed books to read during the rest of 2022. Don’t miss the opportunity to finalize our reading calendar when we meet via Zoom on Monday, February 7th at1:00 p.m.
At that time, we will also discuss Making Rounds with Oscar (the Extraordinary Gift of an Ordinary Cat) by David Dosa, M.D. 7th. You will not want to miss the discussion about this story about an unusual cat, the patients he serves, their caregivers, and of one doctor who learned how to listen. Heartfelt, inspiring, and full of humor and pathos, this book allows readers to take a walk into a world rarely seen from the outside, a world we often misunderstand.
Lastly, the results of the book club’s Favorite/Least Book for last year were…..
Most Favorite: The Island of Sea Women by Lisa Sea and American Dirt by Jeanine Cummins (although both books received votes for least favorite read) and the Least Favorite: The President is Missing by Bill Clinton and James Paterson. Although there is disparity between favorite and least favorite reads, all agree that our meetings include rich, stimulating, and thought-provoking insights and discussions.
If you are not currently part of this group of readers, please feel free to join us by contacting the Temple Office at office@seashul.org (609) 266.0403 to be included on the Literary Society Membership List and receive the link to the next meeting.
I look forward to seeing you on February 7th.
Sincerely,
CamilleRosenberg
