The next TBS Literary Society Meeting is scheduled for Monday, May 2nd at 1:00 p.m. on Zoom (a Zoom Invitation Link will be sent out to all book club members requesting a link prior to the 2nd.) The Literary Society will be reviewing the book, Squirrel Hill: The Tree of Life Synagogue Shooting and the Soul of a Neighborhood by Mark Oppenheimer. This book is a piercing portrait of the struggles and triumphs of one of America’s renowned Jewish neighborhoods in the wake of unspeakable tragedy that highlights the hopes, fears, and tensions all Americans must confront on the road to healing.

Following this discussion, Mark Oppenheimer, the author, will be speaking via Zoom as part of Temple Beth Shalom’s Adult Education Program on May 17th at 7:00 p.m. This presentation will give us all an opportunity to ask the author questions about the writing of his fascinating book.
